Jillian Moore is a scholar and creative currently geographically based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but her heart floats daily to the landscape of the American West.

Jillian is a PhD student at Duquesne University. She studies Nineteenth-Century literature and culture of the American West with a specialty in representations of material culture in women’s labor practices.

She is also a creative writer and fiber artist who uses both mediums as a way to explore the intersection of grief and the Western feminine identity.
